Lately, a new TVS Jupiter test mule has been snapped with heavy camouflage and a front disc brake setup. From the online surfaced images, it is speculated the scooter is going to be powered by a fuel injected 125cc motor. Altogether, the witnessed O2 sensors, and the chock lever absence, which is mostly an associated member with the carburetor powered engine, consolidates the said statement.
As we see, the Indian biking industry is evolving rapidly and the automatic scooter segment is also on the boom, as the players such as Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter has already established their dominance on the larger market space. And with this experiment, TVS is looking to take a leap in this technology race.
From the images, it seems that the mule is production ready, but the killing uncertainty is, will it be a TVS Jupiter upmarket variant or the company is just testing for the fuel injection technology.

The ongoing TVS Jupiter gets the propelling power from a 109.7cc air-cooled engine that is capable of generating the maximum power of 8bhp along with a peak torque of 8Nm. However, the spied one is said to underpin with a fuel injected 125cc motor. The mule with enhanced displacement and FI addition will not only perform better in terms of power, torque, throttle response, etc. but also reduce the CO2 emission.
If the experiment turned out as a success for the TVS Motors, the brand will be the first two-wheeler manufacturer to introduce fuel injection technology in automatic scooter India. Further, there are chances that brand can use it in other models too.
