The German motorcycle manufacturer has announced that they are planning to launch a revised edition of its flagship Superbike, BMW S1000RR, with an updated power and torque figures. The Bavarian manufacturer has promised to unveil the upcoming motorcycle at the INTERMOT motorcycle show. Now, the day has come for the German manufacturer to showcase the firm's flagship motorcycle, i.e. 2015 BMW S1000RR. The company has just revealed the revised edition of the old BMW S1000RR.
Talking about the technical specifications of the 2015 BMW S1000RR, the Superbike is powered by the very same engine which has been re-tuned to achieve more power and to improve the riding quality. The power generated by the revised edition motorcycle will be 199 BHP @ 13,500 revs and a peak torque of 112.5Nm @ over 10,500 revs. The manufacturer has provided a 'wide torque plateau' which ranges in between 9,500 to 12,000 RPM. The weight of the newly launched motorcycle has been reduced by 4kg in total with a filled fuel tank.
On the safety front, the BMW has taken proper care of the rider. The motorcycle is blessed with race ABS as a standard and Three-mode Traction Control to enhance the riding quality of the motorcycle. The company doesn’t ditch the previous two riding modes, they were also being offered in the 2015 model, but as an option and the Dynamic Damping Control semi-active suspension too. The BMW has also provided a cruise control option with 2015 BMW S1000RR, which is first in its class.
Well, it seems that the German's has equally spent their time to change the visual appearance of the motorcycle. In order to improve the handling and performance of the Superbike, it has received a lightweight chassis which has also been re-tuned. The styling of the 2015 BMW S1000RR is also updated, as it has received new visual appearance and yes, off course the asymmetrical headlamps, which is the main highlight in BMW Motorrad's motorcycles. The 2015 BMW S1000RR will be available in various color combinations such as Red and White, Metallic Black or the one and only 'BMW Motorsport' color. It is expected that the Superbike will go on sale by the starting of the coming year, 2015.
