2016 Paris Motor Show: Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Revealed

Already unveiled the 2017 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid comes at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The hybrid version of the four-door coupe stands at the lately designed petrol-electric powerhouse which will also be seen beneath the hood of Cayenne E-Hybrid in near future. Equipped with this new powertrain, the car is claimed to run up to 50 km at a speed of under 140 kmph purely with its electric unit. The liquid-cooled lithium ion battery takes 5.8 hours to get charged with a regular 3.6 kW charger, while the duration of charging can also be shaved off to 3.6 hours employing a more powerful charger of 7.2 kW unit.

Besides, the Porsche Panamera comes with a new 2.9-litre, V6, a twin-turbocharged engine that is tuned to make out a power of 330 Bhp with 450 Nm of torque. The electric motor, on the other hand, can lead the unit with a power of 136 Bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Packed with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission box and multiple clutch 4WD functions, both the motors will send an overall power of 462 hp and a massive torque of 699 Nm to all four wheels.

With almost 8.4 kmph boost up in top speed and 1sec diminish in the 0-100 kmph acceleration time, makes the vehicle more efficient from the Panamera S E-Hybrid. Apart from this, the latest generation’s also reduced the emission level to about 56g/km and join the Porsche 918 in terms of hybrid sports car range. With the information available, the production of the unit have already been started and it will come into shores in 2017 and the deliveries will commence in the same year in April.
