The iconic Italian premium performance bikes manufacturer, MV Agusta is all geared to introduce the next generation model of the Brutale 800 in India in next month. As expected, the motorcycle will hit the showrooms with a price sticker of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As per a report from CarandBike, the 2017 Brutale 800 is currently in homologation process to test its performance under Indian market conditions and it is likely to hit the Indian shores all the way through the SKD (semi knocked down) route. Further, it will be assembled at the Kinetic manufacturing facility in Ahmednagar.
The new motorcycle has been received upgrades at both the cosmetic and mechanical front. Aesthetically, It will now be embellished with the equipment such as the full LED headlamps with DRLs, a revived tail section and pillion seat with concealed grab rails, refreshed tail-light, LED turn indicators and a new instrument console with controls and new handlebar.
Altogether, the underpinned frame has also been tweaked to provide a longer wheelbase and an extended trail. Mechanically, the new Brutale 800 will get the propelling power from a 796cc in-line three-cylinder with 12-valves and counter-rotating crankshaft, which produces 109 hp of maximum power along with 83 Nm of peak torque at rpm as low as 3800.

At the electronic package, the 2017 Brutale 800 now comes decorated with the features such as an 8 level traction control system and an electronic EAS (Electronically Assisted Shift) 2.0 shift assist for clutchless shifts and a hydraulic slipper clutch. The ride-by-wire throttle and riding modes are also added to enhance your riding experience.
Moreover, the bike will breathe from the brand’s signature three-pipe exhaust assembly. While the braking power will come from twin 320 mm discs with Brembo calipers at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear wheel. A twin channel ABS is also in association with the braking aids. The motorcycle runs on Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 rubber.
In the Indian market, the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 will go in competition with the Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z900 and Ducati Monster 821 in terms of power figures. Because, in terms of pricing, the others will win the battle as the 2017 MV Agusta is likely to price with the tag of Rs 15 lakh, which is far much more than the mentioned Kawasaki Z900 which priced at Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
