Available in four segment namely, two-door cabriolet, three-door hatchback, four-door sedan, five-door Sportback, the Audi A3 has become the most popular choice among the car lovers. For now, the company has revealed the second major changes after four years. The third generation A3 range has received mid-life makeover in terms of cosmetic design, styling and performance.
First starting with exterior, it consists of a new front fascia with a revamped single-frame grille and restyled headlights, which is conceptualized from new A4 stablemate, as well as front bumper has also been refreshed for all variants. In addition, the A3 facelift also has a fresh diffuser and rear tail lights. Consumers can also get either the standard Xenon Plus headlights or the optional Matrix LED units.

Inside the cabin, you are not going to see much updates as it will carry an updated MMI system with simplified menus and revised three-spoke steering wheel. Only the new Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster is the thing that can attract your eyes, but it is also offered as an option.
In terms of safety, a new autonomous braking system and cross-traffic warning alerts are added as a standard, while the emergency assist is offered as an optional package, through which the vehicle can be halted if there is a possibility of a collision.
Audi has also provided the variety of engines upgrades as part of the third generation. If we talk about the India bound A3 sedan facelift, it is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder TDI diesel engine yet that is making output a different power of 150 Bhp instead of 143 and torque of 320 Nm.
Anyway, all the details are based on European model that was revealed today.
If we talk about the international model, it has got different mechanical specs. Under the hood, the petrol engine of A3 range can be powered by a 1.0-litre 115 TFSI three-cylinder, a 1.4-litre TFSI 150 Bhp and a 2.0-litre TFSI 190 Bhp of power. On the other side, diesel can be found with a 1.6-litre TDI 110 Bhp and a 2.0-litre TDI 184 Bhp.
