The German Automaker, BMW Motorrad has premiered the revived range of its S1000 range at the proceeding Intermot 2016. The superbike range consists new S1000RR, S1000R and the S1000XR which has witnessed a couple of modifications as a part of 2017 model year. After hitting the global market in 2010, the range of motorcycles continued to evolve. Then in late 2013, the automaker has rolled out the S1000R and the S1000XR in 2014.
Now this 2017 BMW S1000 range seems to observe a lot of tech-genius features with enhanced performance. If talked about the top end model in the range, the S1000R gets engine refinements to comply Euro4 norms without any loss in performance. The ABS pro is also being granted as a safety feature in the provided high-end optional Riding Modes Pro suite, which offers modes like Slick and User modes, Launch Control and a Pit Lane Limiter. Apart from this, the BMW’s trademarked 7-level DTC traction control is now available as standard fitting across all models in the range.

The next in the row, the adventure tourer S1000XR has also got a Euro 4 compliant engine with improved power output of 5bhp from the same 1000cc bolted to engine. Now the revived mill spawns 165bhp of power as claimed by the firm. The fault of vibration transfer from the engine to the rider’s end while cruising at the top churns of the engine, has also been ended up by the addition of the new vibration-reducing handlebar mounts.
The last and the third one-the S1000R gets modified air intakes for improved and flawless airflow, same vibration-reducing bar mounts and the similar Euro IV compliant engine. Moreover, the bike has got the features like two riding modes- road and rain as standard, Automatic Stability Control(ASC), and the DTC as an optional extra. Besides, the addition of these features the upgraded S1000R is now 2kg lighter than the older model.
Currently, the Indian launch of this refreshed S1000 range is in question, if launch takes place, it is anticipated in sometime next year.
