Datsun India is ready to launch Datsun Redi-GO AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) version in January which is an entry-level hatchback. The Datsun redi-GO was revealed in the country in June 2016, last year and another 1.0-litre version introduced after a year in July 2017. It was pre-decided to launch The redi-GO AMT version in India but when was the main question and ultimately now we have an answer for that also. However the Datsun has not revealed the final launch date yet, still, we can expect the Redi-GO AMT version to be launched in January second half 2018.
Same like the Renault Kwid, Datsun will as well favor in providing the redi-GO AMT with the 1.0 version only, wheres the 0.8-litre version will get the present 5-speed manual transmission. The car is powered by the same 999 cc iSAT engine as the standard model which is able to churn out a maximum power of 67 bhp and a maximum torque of 91 Nm. The engine of the car mated to a 5-speed AMT unit. Albeit, It is not sure that whether the car will keep the standard gear lever or a rotary dial system like the Renault Kwid AMT.

Considering the features, it is expected that the Datsun redi-GO AMT will not get any tweaks and come handy with the same specifications like an all-black cabin, sporty red accents for the seats, the horn pad, silver finish on the AC vents, all-black cabin, and the LED daytime running lights. The car takes USB (which does not charge your phone) AUX-In and a normal CD player without Bluetooth. It accommodates Driver side airbag as optional considering the top-end trim.
The company provides the T(O) and S variants and both with the 1-litre engine only, therefore it is predicted that the AMT unit will be available with both the models. Considering the price, each variant will vary between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 on the asking price of the particular model.
