The 14th version of Delhi Auto Expo 2018 is live now and has offered multiple range of vehicles to the public for them to speculate and take ideas of future mobility solutions. In addition, the special focus of automobile companies is to stay on electric vehicles. This is because Government of India has plans to implement electric vehicles across the country by 2030.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by the carrying forwarded engine options of the regular models. A 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine will churn out 82bhp and 113Nm. Whereas, the 1.3-litre diesel engine generates 74bhp and delivers 190Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is being offered as standard fitment while an option of 5-speed AMT is also being offered with mid-level variants like V and Z trims.

Day one of the Delhi Auto Expo 2018 began with the exhibition of Maruti Suzuki's concept compact SUV FutureS. The launch was followed by the showcase of Honda's Amaze Subcompact Sedan, Kia Motors Concept SUV SP. This time around the Auto Expo is expected to witness 24 new launches and more than 100 exhibits.
Kenichi, MD and CEO Maruti-Suzuki, said that compact cars are the favorites of Indian customers. FutureS has been designed by the company’s in-house design team and it is the first of its kind in this segment. Some even predict that FutureS can replace Maruti's best selling car, Alto.
Ayukawa further added that by 2020 Maruti Suzuki will launch its first electric vehicle.

Honda was the next in line to showcase its all-new offering for its Indian Audience. The new Amaze Subcompact Sedan was unveiled by the Automaker. On this occasion, the company confirmed that the company is going to introduce its new CRV, new Civic and new Amaze in 2018-19.
Kia Motors showcased its Concept SUV SP. Hailing the design of the SUV, KIA said that the launch was scheduled for the latter half of 2019.
Han-Woo Park, MD and CEO Kia Motors, confirmed that Andhra plant's annual production capacity will reach 3 million vehicles. He further revealed plans to launch 16 electric vehicles in the global market and further invest $ 1.1 billion in India operations. Kia Motors will soon introduce its India Exclusive EV.
