Four New Fords To Introduce In Upcoming Months

Ford brought a new Freestyle cross-hatch and relaunched the lusty EcoBoost engine, still, the India line-up doesn’t seem complete. The company is also working on some minor and major updates established for the other car models in the upcoming months. The first of few launches will be updated Aspire compact sedan that will reach the market in June 2018.

Reworked front style and resemblance to the Freestyle sibling will make the Aspire different from the previous model. The inside of the car is updated too. New Aspire will get a brilliant Sync3 touchscreen infotainment system and a new dashboard. We can expect from the refurbished Aspire to obtain feature upgrade to compete against the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Concerning the engine, it will get a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 100hp of power. The Ford’s new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine generating 96 bhp will replace the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. A 5-speed manual transmission will be available as standard but you will also see a petrol automatic option. Here the automatic will be the torque converter instead of dual-clutch. Changes in the suspension will make the Aspire updated.

The updated Figo is expected to launch in October 2018. It will be available with an improved cabin, revised styling, and new 1.2-litre petrol engine. The Figo will also use the torque converter automatic along with a petrol engine. The new version will get Ford’s fun-to-drive DNA.

The updated Endeavour is expected to make its launch in 2019 starting. It is recently launched abroad with brand-new engine option which requires your attention to take note of. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel generating a peak power of 180hp and a peak torque of 420Nm considering single turbo guise, whereas, in twin-turbo form, it generates 213hp/500Nm. The engine comes equipped with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Ford may bring the latest engine-gearbox combo in India in order to go in relation with the BS-VI emission norms about to impact in 2020.

The line-up will be completed with the launch of the facelifted Mustang in early 2019. The pony will be able to take power from the 5.0-litre V8 and comes mated to a 10-speed automatic taking the place of a six-speed unit.
