The best selling scooter from HMSI, the Activa has been launched in its fifth-generation. The company asked pricing for this improved version of Activa is INR Rs 52,460, ex-showroom, New Delhi. The scooter was initially showcased at the recent 2018 Auto Expo. Whereas, the bookings was initiated post its showcase. On the other hand, the deliveries will take place soon as rumoured.
Carrying forward its mother design language and styling, the Activa 5G got blessed with a host of cosmetic updates which includes the furnishing of a new LED headlamp with integrated DRLs. Altogether, there is chrome work on the front apron and 3D emblem of the scooter. Constructed with an all-metal body, the Activa 5G is being offered in colour options such as Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red
The instrument console on this fifth-generation Activa has been replaced with a new instrument console that is a semi-digital unit. It now conveys the information of speed and fuel through the analogue unit and the distance travelled via a digital odometer. Furthermore, you also get an all-new ECO mode and a service reminder with this new Activa 5G. The installation of a 4-in-1 lock system is new that allows the access of under seat storage from the same ignition key slot. To carry more luggage and belongings the scooter now offers a double hook on the footboard.

At the powertrain, the similar 110cc, four-stroke unit passes from the Activa 4G. However, it is more refined in nature. The churned out power and torque figures from the mentioned unit integrated with a CVT gearbox are 8bhp and 9Nm respectively. Braking duties are under the consideration of drum brakes setup incorporated with a combi-braking system.
