Honda to Double Production of Navi owing to Huge Demand

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is soon going to double the production of its mini-bike, Navi on account of the hefty demand, the nation is raising for it. After the launch, the tourer has been receiving a warm response from the mob, egging Honda to buck up the production. The Navi was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi and later launched with a price label of INR 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

With the day-by-day increasing demand, HMSI has decided to double the production of the ‘mini-bike’. Within a couple of months after being launched, the tourer has created a significant impact on the Indian crowd and resultantly, the company has disposed off 10,000 units in the initial months itself.

Honda Navi Production Doubled

The company’s Senior Vice-President, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, said, "We have been really surprised by the humongous response to the Navi. It's really exceeded our expectations. We have, therefore, decided to almost double our capacity to 90,000 to 1 lakh units soon."

Since the split from Hero, the Japanese two-wheeler giant has been making extensively serious attempts to inch itself high up from the longest ever former business partner. Undoubtedly, Honda has reached up to a certain level by launching the Navi in April 2016.

Powering the bike is a 110cc four-stroke engine, which is currently underpinned in Activa as well and yields 8PS of power with 9NM of torque. The engine gets a variomatic gearbox. Suspension responsibilities are under the telescopic forks at upfront and a mono-shock unit at the rear.
