Displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo, Mercedes-Benz GLC is all set to be launched in the Indian car segment on June 2, 2016. It will be placed between entry level SUV GLA and the full-sized SUV GLE. In this year, it will be the second small utility vehicle to be situated in the country's dealership after the recently introduced GLS. Based on the same MRA platform as the C-Class sedan, it will directly lock horns with the likes of Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
Starting with dimensions, it measures 4,656 mm in length,1,644mm in height, 2,096mm in width and a wheelbase of 2,874 mm. In terms of design, the vehicle can be featured with sporty front grille, wide front bumper, headlamps similar as the C-Class.

Like all the latest Mercedes's, this model can also be loaded with some regular elements as well as some of the contemporary features could also be added. It is expected that the cabin of the GLC will be furnished with comfort and advanced equipment like an infotainment system with a standard Apple CarPlay, leather upholstery, and many others.
Under the hood, it would be powered by a 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, mated to a 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission along with all-wheel drive system. Having considered all the above mentioned, the forthcoming unit could be tagged between a price of INR 35 to INR 45 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
