KTM has announced the launch of more focused version of the RC 390. The race-spec version is entitled as the RC 390 R. To get this form, the RC 390 SuperSport will have to receive numerous changes those make it a legit track worthy motorcycle. On a sad note, the production of this RC 390 R is limited to only 500 units worldwide. In the feature list, newly added attributes include a fully adjustable WP suspension, folding brake and clutch levers and a new top yoke along with a handlebar kit, which makes its riding position even more aggressive to suits its racing persona. The 373.3cc engine has also been revived to receive shorter intake velocity and wider range of power suited for racing.
Moreover, the KTM is offering a race kit for the RC 390 R to make it more track worthy. In the SSP300 Race Kit, there is more than 230 individual parts that can be fitted on to the RC 390 R. A few of them are listed here, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, a race-spec ECU (engine control unit), STM slipper clutch, quickshifter, better engine cooling, and wiring harness and more. Besides bike, the racing kits are also limited in manufacturing as the brand will manufacture just 50 racing kits every year. For your kind information, this racing kit can easily be equipped on a regular RC 390.

In terms of pricing, the KTM will sale this RC 390 R model in European markets at € 8,500 or ₹ 7.65 lakh. While, to purchase a SSP300 Race Kit you will have to spend € 11,000 or ₹ 9.91 lakh. For the Indian market, KTM has no plans to introduce this RC 390 R trim.
