As expected, the much anticipated Marazzo MPV has been launched by Mahindra on 3rd September in India which comes with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.90 lakh for the top M8 trim. The MPV was initially rumored with the codename U321 and later the domestic automobile manufacturer has named it Marazzo, which is a Basque language word that loosely means ‘shark’. The name justifies with the MPV’s design which seems to be inspired by a shark. The Mahindra Marazzo will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Innova Crysta and other vehicles of the segment and launch with a diesel powertrain.

The Mahindra Marazzo is to be made available in four variants including M2, M4, M6, and M8. All of the variants of the Mahindra Marazzo are equipped with ABS featuring EBD, brake assist, two airbags, as well as Isofix child seat mounts. On the other hand, the top-spec M8 trim comes with rear parking camera and parking sensors, whereas the camera features are missing in the M6 trim.

The base M2 trim has been priced at Rs 9.99 lakh features central locking, three-row power windows, central locking and AC vents to deliver and remove air.

The Mahindra Marazzo M4 variant is available for purchase at Rs 13.90 lakh features Full wheel caps, Sharkfin antenna, Driver’s seat height adjust, USB and AUX port for the rear passengers, voice messaging system, Rear wiper and washer, and Electrically adjustable wing mirrors.

The Mahindra Marazzo mid- trim M6 is retailing at Rs 12.40 lakh and gets impressive features such as front and rear fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which has navigation and steering mounted audio controls. Furthermore, the Mahindra Marazzo M6 variant gets projector headlamps with follow me home feature, cornering lamps, adjustable lumbar support for front seats, premium designed fabric upholstery, conversation mirror, remote keyless entry, Sunglass holder, Illuminated passenger-side vanity mirror, Steering mounted controls for audio and other functions, Emergency call feature, and Rear parking sensors.

The Mahindra Marazzo top spec M8 has been priced at Rs 13.90 lakh. It features LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), 17-inch alloy wheels, Leatherette seating upholstery, Cooled glovebox with illumination, Puddle lamps, Cruise control, Automatic climate control, reverse camera with the display, as well as power folding and adjustable wing mirrors, dual USB sockets for both front and rear passengers. The Infotainment system coupled with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Mechanically, all of the variants of the Mahindra Marazzo are powered by a new 1.5 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine which delivers 121 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are being carried out with a 6-speed gearbox. The company claims that it can be rated to deliver 17.6 kmpl fuel efficiency per ARAI.
