Maruti Suzuki has revealed the technical specifications of its upcoming premium hatchback Baleno. The revelation took place in an official event recently. As the car is nearing it launch soon, the company is leaving no stone unturned in promoting this offering. From the websites to the banners, everything is flaunting the image of the car with the words "Coming Soon". There are high hopes and expectations on this soon to be arrived automobile, both by company as well as from the audience. It will be available for sale in Nexa outlets and the bookings have started already.

As per the dimensional specifications that have been disclosed, it stands 3,995 mm long, 1.745 mm wide, 1,500 mm tall and the wheelbase is measured at 2,520 mm. The body weight is 960 kg for the diesel mill, whereas for K Series it weighs 890 kg and the fuel tank capacity is 37 litres. In spite of being larger in size than Swift, it is lighter in weight.

The mechanical specifications as per the company suggest that there will be both diesel and petrol variants in the powertrain lineup. It will comprise a 1.2 litre K Series motor that can produce a maximum output of 83.1 Bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. Another one is the 1.3 litre DDiS unit that will pump out 73.9Bhp and 190 Nm of output. The former will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the latter will come with both 5-speed manual and a CVT facility.
