Maruti has upgraded its one of the most popular budget offerings, the Eeco on the safety front. The Eeco MPV now complies with the latest crash test norms which have implemented in the country from October 1, 2019. However, for such improved safety attained from structural changes, the company is asking for a premium ranging from INR 6,000-9,000 for the Eeco line-up based on the variant.
The Eeco MPV is one of the best sellers of the Maruti Suzuki and the companys willingness to continue its sales made its upgrade with the new safety regulations. To comply with the new safety norms, the automaker equipped the car with top-end safety features such as ABS with EBD, driver airbag, reverse parking sensors, and more.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco which is available on sale in the Indian market now comes packed with the BS4-compliant 1,196cc, four-cylinder engine. The petrol trim of equipped engine is capable of developing the maximum power of 73bhp along with 101Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the CNG powered engine option is rated to make out 63hp and 85Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The company has already announced that it will upgrade underpinned engine with the new and more stringent BS6 emission norms which will be implemented in the country from April 1, 2020.
