Maruti Suzuki Ignis, the all new compact crossover has been recently displayed at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show 2015. This model is based on the iM-4 concept that made its appearance back in the month of March at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The concept reflected an intelligent design along with a tough exterior body. The upcoming vehicle carries a very light weight that improves its handling, performance and fuel efficiency. Dimensionally, it is 3,693 mm long, 1,709 mm wide, 1566 mm tall and offers a wheelbase amounting to 2,438mm.

The most distinctive feature on the exterior portion is that it gets a pair of large headlamps, integrated with the grille located on the front fascia. It stands on 18-inch alloy wheels and contains various appealing features in the form of a prominent bonnet, flared wheel arches, body colored wing mirrors, and a chrome enclosure for the fog lamps, on either side.

Talking about the engine configuration, in the global market, it could be rolled out with the choice of two petrol units. One will be a 1 litre, 3-cylinder BoosterJet turbocharged motor that will be tuned to develop 110Bhp of power and 170Nm of peak torque, whereas another will be a 1.2 litre DualJet powertrain, clubbed with the company's SHVS technology. This setup will generate the maximum output of 88Bhp and 120Nm. Regarding India, the Ignis could get a tweaked configuration owing to the needs of Indian audience.
