Yes, You heard it right! Mercedes-Benz India is all set add one more member to its AMG family. Tomorrow i.e July 26, 2016, the company will launch the Mercedes-AMG SLC43 in the Indian market. It is said that that the SLC43 roadster is the first model to be christened under ‘43’ title, making its a successor to the SLK55 AMG.
The interesting part is that it will be seen will a completely new and refreshing engine. It will be seen with a new 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 367PS along with a peak torque of 520Nm. The engine is paired to a 9-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox which comes integrated with paddle shifters. It is capable to sprint 0-100kmph in just 4.7 seconds, followed by a top speed of 250kmph. The optional ‘handling package’ offers an extra utility like mechanically limited-slip differential for rear axle.
On the design context, the SLC43 gets better cosmetic upgrades in comparison to the SLK. The updates include a new front bumper with revised air intakes,a new set of headlamps, a new diamond-pin front grille, taillamps with chrome highlights and a new rear bumper as well. The interior gets latest accessories such as Bluetooth connectivity, active brake assist, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, gizmo-galore with blind spot assist and enhanced navigation system.
Moreover, the company aims to be stable with the launch of the new SLC43 in the Indian market. Post launch, the roadster will be seen competing with BMW Z4 and Audi TT. It is expected to be launched with a price tag around INR 1 Crores.
