Those who had missed our earlier update about the expected launch of Mercedes-Benz S400, here is the recapitulation of the same unit along with new updates. The company has marked the date 29th of March to offer this luxury sedan in the Indian auto market. As we already informed, the car will be slotted amid the S350 CDI and the S500 that are currently available with a price tag of INR 1.14 Crores and INR 1.44 Crores respectively.
Mechanically, it will arrive with a new engine family instead of using the one which is already available in the market. It will get a 3.0-litre, six cylinder V configuration in the petrol motor, which makes a massive power of 329 Bhp and peak torque of 480 Nm. To perform transmission duties, the engine is likely to be coupled with either 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic or 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic unit that will be confirmed soon. Rest of the details may come out with the release of S400, which is not so far.
