Mercedes-Benz India has just launched the Cabriolet version of the S-Class (S 500) and the C-Class (C 300) in the country and now the company has reduced the price of the E-Class E400 Cabriolet which was launched in March 2016 at a price of INR 78.5 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). After reducing the price by INR 2.5 Lakh, now the E400 is available at INR 76 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi).

Under the hood, the car features a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that churns out the maximum power of 333PS at 5,250 - 6,000rpm, while peak torque of 480 Nm comes out at 1,600 - 4,000rpm. The mill is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The E400 reaches 100 kmph from a standstill in a claimed 5.3 seconds.
Feature details of the E-Class E400 include LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) LED taillamps, 17-inch alloy wheels and a COMAND seven-inch smart infotainment display with navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It also gets a 14-speaker 610W sound system by Harman Kardon. To define itself, the car features an ‘edition e’ badge on the fender.
Similar to the newest convertibles in the town, the C300 and S500 cabriolets, the E400 drop-top also gets Mercedes’ Aircap system to reduce the wind draft while driving with the roof down.
Also, The E is the fabric convertible roof can be folded down or away completely in around 20 seconds, at a speed of 40kmph or below.
