Mercedes-Benz will launch the facelifted version of M Class named as Mercedes GLE on October, 14. This luxury car will be brought to India via Complete Knocked Down (CKD) Route and parts will be assembled at Mercedes’ factory in Chakan, Pune.
The engineers have done a tremendous work to make this GLE more appealing and powerful. To make it more attractive it will get a twin slat grille with the German brand logo placed right at the center and new Multibeam LED units. Furthermore, it will be embossed with a modified bumper set, re-profiled LED tail lights cluster at the back and dual exhaust tips.

Coming to the interior, there will be some minor updated such as, three-spoke steering wheel, new buttons fitted in the center console, freestanding 7.0-inch COMAND display unit and AC vents. Moreover, for the occupants comfort there is proper legroom as well as headroom, along with cushioned seats with improved lumbar and side support.

Powertrain will be borrowed from its M-class. Prospective buyers will have two engine options among which one is GLE 250d that produces maximum power of 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque, whereas another is GLE 350d which develops a power of 258 PS and 620 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines carry an inline-four, V6 unit. This vehicle is fitted with a 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox which will be used in India first time. This Mercedes GLE will be based on 4MATIC AWD system.
