After making its world premier at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet has been showcased today at India's largest and most popular show, Auto Expo 2016. The launch for this new car is not confirmed yet, but it will make its way to the country by the end of this year.
One quick look at it and you will realize that it is so much similar to the S-Coupe with a large TFT screen, dashboard including infotainment system, instrument clusters and many others. However, new S-Class Cabriolet comes with some new advanced feature as an all-new THERMOTRONIC intelligent climate control system.
Talking about the engine and performance, Mercedes-Benz S-Class in India powered with S500, which means it will be offered with a 4.7-litre twin turbo V8 that is good for 455 bhp of power and 700 Nm of torque. In terms of transmissions it is mated with 9-speed automatic transmission gearbox that can accelerate 0-100 Km/h in just about 5seconds and top speed is fixed to 250 Km/h.
The company has also added some features such as nappa leather, an extensive assortment of upholstery and designo exclusive nappa leather. Well, you are not surprised that Mercedes-Benz always provides an option of adding more power so this model could also get a choice that will also hike its price. More features supposed to be standard as S-class includes safety feature and much more.
