The new and latest 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has become the talking point after its launch. There are many questions asked by the customers and one of the most asked questions is that is the car diesel-automatic?
The answer to this question is that the Maruti Suzuki will not come as diesel-automatic at least for now.
Maruti Suzuki has the automatic option for the 1.3-litre Multijet engine and the Ertiga has five-speed automated-manual gearbox which is known as Auto Gear Shift in Maruti terminology.

But now, under four meters in length, Maruti has denied the use of this setup due to which even the S-Cross or the Ciaz does not have this option.
Yet, Maruti Suzuki do not have a torque-converter setup to be coupled with 1.3-litre turbo-diesel. This clearly means that the Ertiga will not be offered with a diesel-automatic.
