Eventually, the Porsche Macan facelift has been launched in India, the car which was showcased in front of a global audience almost a year ago. The German car manufacturer is offering this luxury crossover SUV in two different variants-the base four-cylinder engine variant and the V6-engined Porsche Macan S variant. The pricing for both the trims stands at INR 69.98 lakh and INR 85.03 lakh respectively (all prices, ex-showroom). The pricing has been the major concerned for the carmaker so that it can place the updated Macan S aggressively against its German rivals.
Under the hood, the entry-level Porsche Macan 2.0 Turbo is loaded with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine is capable of developing the maximum power of 252hp along with 370Nm of peak torque. While the top end Macan S variant is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol motor that is rated to churn out 354hp and 480Nm of torque. The more powerful Macan S is claimed to complete the 0-100kmph sprint in just 5.3 seconds which makes it quicker over the four-cylinder Macan by 1.4sec. Also, the claimed top speed for the Macan S variant is 254kmph. As compared to the pre-facelift, base (four-cylinder) Macan model, the facelifted Macan S model is around INR 5 lakh costlier at the pricing of INR 85 lakhs and INR 7 lakh dearer over its chief rival the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43.
For the first time in India, the Porsche is offering the Macan facelift with the customized service packages which start at INR 1.43 lakhs for the base Macan and goes up to INR 1.52 lakh for the top-end Macan S variant.

The Macan facelift has been altered at the skin. It now features a reworked bumper and set of new LED headlights with signature-four point DRLs. The SUV also received a host of new colour schemes including Dolomite Silver Metallic, Mamba Green Metallic, Miami Blue and Crayon. While inside the cabin, the introduction of the Porsche Communication Management system along with a 10.9-inch, full-HD touchscreen infotainment system is the considered change on the car. Further, the aids of optional GT sports steering wheel with a Sport Response button is being offered for the customers. To recall, the company brought this feature from its 911 model.
The Porsche Car has announced not to introduce the diesel cars anymore. It has confirmed to bring an all-electric version of the Macan facelift in 2021. This year, the Porsche India lineup has witnessed the launch of new generation 911 early this year. It will later be followed by the launch of Cayenne coupé by October 2019 and the country will see the launch of an all-electric Porsche Taycan during the next year.
