Skoda has scaled up the Rapid’s security portion in the country by proposing it along with four airbags in its top-class style trim. Lastly, the Skoda Rapid has only dual front airbags.
The Skoda Rapid is available in Ambition, Style and Active grades. The range-top grade, Style takes the safety attributes in the name of the accommodation of side airbags. The Ambition and Active grades offer two airbags like the standard variant. ABS is available with standard equipment setup, whereas Electronic Stability Control and Hill Hold Control are seen in the Style and Ambition grades. In addition, these two grades also come with rear parking sensors.
The Skoda Rapid is powered by a 1.5-litre TDI diesel and a 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine. The petrol engine variant generates a maximum power of 105 PS and a peak torque of 153 Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. The diesel engine generates a maximum power of 110 PS and a maximum torque of 250 Nm and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.

The fuel efficiency consideration of the sedan includes 21.13 km/l (1.5 TDI MT), 21.72 km/l (1.5 TDI DSG), 14.84 km/l (1.6 MPI AT), and 15.41 km/l (1.6 MPI MT).
The Style petrol variant of Skoda Rapid costs at Rs. 10,61,230 for (MT) and Rs. 11,85,300 for AT whereas the Style diesel is available at Rs. 12,42,713 for MT and Rs. 13,56,679 for DSG.
