At the impending Cologne Intermot Show 2018, the British manufacturer has showcased the Triumph Street Twin and Street Scrambler with 2019 model year updates. Both the motorcycles not only get tweaked at the cosmetic front but also gets updated mechanically.
The 900cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled engine performs propelling duty on both the models. It gets components such as a new lightweight crankshaft, dead shafts, balance shafts and lighter clutch, sports in churning out an improved power of 64bhp at 7500 rpm. it’s a cumulative hike of 18 per cent over the last year model. Meanwhile, the torque remains constant to 80Nm (old figures) but now attained at 3800rpm as compared to 3200rpm on the earlier model.

Moreover, in lieu of supplying ride joy at a level, the 2019 Street Twin and the 2019 Street Scrambler have been fitted with a new 120 mm travel front fork, and Brembo supplied four-piston callipers on the front disc. Other than this, an ABS (switchable), traction control and riding modes comprising Road and Rain are also being offered as standard equipment.
The 2019 Triumph Street Twin which retains ongoing styling got refreshed with cast wheels, new instrument console and a seat unit as 2019 model year updates. While, the features such as a LED rear light, USB charging socket, immobiliser and Torque Assist clutch are there for a comfy, convenient ride.
Other than a long list of newly added attributes, the 2019 Street Twin can be adorned as per owners suite, with a host of provided accessories and custom factory kit-stripped back Urban Ride kit and a Café Custom kit.
Meanwhile, the 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler, the motorcycle with off-road capabilities is bundled with a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel wrapped up with Metzeler Tourance rubber. The instrument cluster along with new side panels and a new emblem is add on to motorcycle’s appeal.
The set of over 120 accessories, as well as custom factory kits similar to the updated Street Twin, is on offer with the sibling. The Urban Tracker kit includes headlight grille and bezel, high front fender and sump guard kit black, handlebar brace, black dresser bar kit, ribbed bench seat, CNC machined black oil filler cap, Vance & Hines slip-on silencers, number board kit and soft panniers as well.
Here in India, both the 2019 Triumph Street Twin and Street Scrambler will be introduced by early next year.
