Tata Motors has introduced the Hexa Downtown Urban Edition of its popular MPV offering, the Hexa in Indian lineup. The XE variant of special edition model is priced at Rs 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) that is Rs 46,000 more than the regular XE variant. The new addition only receives cosmetic update and a few newly added features to the interior.There are two trims are available for the Tata Hexa Downtown Urban edition, the Absolute pack and the Indulge pack. the XE,XM and XMA variant are offered with the Absolute pack while the XT and XTA variants gets the facility of Indulge pack.
Under the hood, the MPV will be powered by the same powertrain options offered for the regular model. The bookings for model has already been commenced at tata dealerships across the country. However, the deliveries for the buyers will start soon.
For this new Downtown urban edition, the company has added a new Urban Bronze shade that is distinct in appearance from the other offered five shades. Other than this, the model also gets Downtown emblem, Chrome work on the grille, around headlights, on mirrors and near the running board area. This Tata Hexa Downtown urban edition is being offered with 16-inch alloy wheels as standard fitment on the XE and XM trims. While, the Hexa XE variant gets bigger 19-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, the Tata Hexa Downtown urban edition gains tan seat covers, heads-up display with tyre pressure monitoring system, wireless charging and a 10-inch rear entertainment screen.

Mechanically, as mentioned above this new edition will be featured with same engine options of the regular model. in two different state of tune, the 2.2-litre turbo diesel mill produces 148bhp and 320Nm of torque in the lower variant. While, for the higher spec-variant the churns out figures are 154bhp and 400Nm of torque.
the power transmission in the lower state-of-tune take place via a mated five-speed manual gearbox, through rear-wheel drive. While, the more powerful version mated to a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, with facilities of either rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
