The homegrown corporation: Micromax has made a foray against currently present tablets of budget segment by launching its brand-new voice-calling tab: Canvas Tab P480 at just Rs 6,999. Notably, this novel creation of company has been cataloged on the official website and it will hit the shelves of retail stores in the last week of April.
Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, the successor of Canvas Tab P470 is housed with dual-SIM card slots and offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and USB options on connectivity front. Glancing at screen, handheld bears a 7-inch IPS display, which is easy-to-hold and it has been designed to make the gadget well-suited for user's grip. Here, its display gives a WSVGA pixel resolution of 1024 x 600p.
Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MT8382W/M processor, gadget encompasses 1GB RAM in its shell to take the full advantage of this multitasking processor. In terms of memory, new member of Canvas Tab series is arrayed with expandable built-in storage of 8GB, which can be extended upto 32GB via a microSD card. Coming to imaging, tablet is unified with a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and assimilates a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front shooter at an economical value.
Micromax Canvas Tab P480 also comprises some advanced senors such as light, gravity and proximity. The tab is fueled by a 3000mAh battery that has been claimed to provide 9 hours of talk time on 2G networks, 3 hours of Browsing time and 168.5 hours of standby time. Moreover, device will be available in Blue and White color models with above-mentioned price tag.
