Gionee not long back launched the Pioneer P5L (2016) smartphone, and now the Chinese maker has again revealed its new Pioneer-series smartphone dubbed as Gionee Pioneer P5 Mini. The Android smartphone has been priced at INR 5,349 and is currently available for purchase at the company's India site.
The GSM-based smartphone was first showcased and released in Nigeria a month ago under the moniker Gionee P5 Mini, and with this launching, India becomes the second market where the cell phone has gone for sale however with the addition of the Pioneer word. The GSM-based smartphone operates on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and runs Amigo 3.1 UI on top and also supports Dual-SIM.
It sports a 4.5-inch WVGA IPS display that gives a 480x854 pixel resolution and is controlled by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580M processor. It equips 1GB of RAM and bears 8GB of built-in storage that can further be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card. In terms of camera, it sports a 5-megapixel camera on the rear end featuring LED flash coupled with a 2-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone incorporates Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB on the connectivity front and houses an 1850mAh battery that as per company can deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 237 hours on 3G systems. Dimensionally, the handset measures 132x66x9.1mm with a weight of 153 grams and is available in three shades namely Black, Blue, and White. Not just this, the handset comes preloaded with applications like WhatsApp, Facebook, WPS office, 360 Security lite, Clean ace, and TouchPal.
Recently, the company's latest product Gionee Pioneer P5L (2016) too went on sale through the company's official online store priced at Rs. 8,499 and apart from all the basic features, the smartphone came in light because of its ability to support 4G LTE as well as Voice over LTE (VoLTE).
