Previously, HMD Global had launched three smartphones, dubbed as Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 at an event in Moscow, Russia on 29th May. All three smartphones are the improved versions of previously launched Nokia 2, Nokia 3, and Nokia 5 and come with advanced hardware and specifications. Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 are also called with Nokia 2 (2018), Nokia 3 (2018) and Nokia 5 (2018).
One must note that the Finnish smartphone manufacturer had launched only one i.,e 2GB RAM+16GB storage variant of the Nokia 3.1 in India in the previous month.

Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 3GB RAM variants were launched by the Finnish smartphone manufacturer in India after unveiling them at Moscow event, though it took nearly two months to arrive in the Indian market. Currently, the company has launched only one variant in India i.e 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage of the smartphones, however at Moscow event, the company had unveiled two variants that were 2GB RAM+16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM +32GB internal storage of Nokia 5 (2018), Nokia 3 (2018).
One must note that the 2GB variant of Nokia 3.1 is available for purchase at the official website of Nokia. The company reported that the deliveries of all three smartphones will start from 12th August at Nokia official website, renowned mobile retailers and e-commerce platform Paytm Mall.

The Nokia 5.1 comes with a price tag of Rs 14,499 for 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant, whereas the Nokia 3.1 new variant is retailing at Rs 11,999 for the same variant as Nokia 5.1. Lastly, the Nokia 2.1 is available for purchase at Rs 6,999 in India.
All three smartphones come with latest Android Operating System. The Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 are Android One based smartphones, whereas the Nokia 2.1 comes with Android Oreo Go Edition.
The Nokia 2 (2018) flaunts a 5.5-inch HD display, 16:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is created by using polycarbonate material with metallic accents which stands it out from the crowd.
The budget segment smartphone runs on Android Oreo (Go- edition). The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be further extended 128GB by using a memory card.
The Nokia 2.1 is powered by a 4000mAh battery which the company claims that it will run for 2 days. The smartphone comes with dual front-facing stereo speakers. Nokia 2.1 is available in three color options: Blue/ Copper, Blue/ Silver, and Grey/ Silver.
In terms of optics, the Nokia 2.1 has a single 8-megapixel rear camera, offering autofocus and an LED flash. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone sport a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Connectivity options on the Nokia 2.1 are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is equipped with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. In terms of dimensions, it measures 153.7x77.7x9.35mm.
The Nokia 3.1 features a 5.2-inch HD+ display, 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels. The smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass which helps to protect the smartphone. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6750 SoC. The smartphone is available in two storage variants: 2GB RAM+16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM +32GB internal storage.
The storage capacity can be further extended up to 128GB via memory card. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box as a part of the Android One programme and compatible with Android P.
In terms of photography, the Nokia 3 (2018) sport 13- megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, featuring autofocus and an LED flash. At the front, the smartphone gets 8-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and an 84.6-degree field-of-view. The Nokia 3.1 is powered by a 2990 mAh battery.
The company has launched the Nokia 3 (2018) in three color options: Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome, and White/Iron. More sensors are available on the smartphone which supports popular AR apps like Pokémon Go and Google Pay via NFC.
The Nokia 3.1 has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. Sensors on the smartphone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The dimensions and the weight of the smartphone are 146.25x68.65x8.7 mm and 138.3 grams.
The new Nokia 5.1 comes with updation in terms of design, internals, and specifications. The smartphone gets a 5.5-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display, 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. For security purpose, Nokia 5 (2018) smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass. The company stated that the smartphone is created by a single block of 6000 series aluminum and the company continues with metallic design.
To offer taller screen display in Nokia 5.1, the fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the rear panel. In terms of hardware, the smartphone comes with a 40 percent faster processor as compared to previous Nokia 5. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755S SoC.
The smartphone is available in two storage variants: 2GB+16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage with 128GB microSD support. It runs on Android Oreo, out-of-the-box as a part of Android One Programme and compatible with Android P.
