A few days before the official unveiling of Oppo R17 Pro in India, it has been listed on the company's official website along with key specifications. As per the information available on the official website, it looks like that the pre-bookings of the device will start from December 1. Earlier this week, the company had started sending invites to press media about the launch event of Oppo R17 Pro in India which is set to be scheduled on December 4 in Mumbai.
It is the first smartphone in R- series that Oppo would unveil in the Indian market. The key features of Oppo R17 Pro include waterdrop- style notch, Super VOOC charging, under - display fingerprint scanner and more.
As of now, the company has not announced the Oppo R17 Pro India price, to get to know the actual price of the device we have to wait for the official launch event which will be scheduled on December 4. Oppo has achieved success in the mid-range and upper mid-range category by launching the R17 Pro. It must be noted that the Oppo R17 Pro was initially unveiled in the Europe and China market at Euro 599 and CNY 4,299 respectively.
It is being speculated that the Oppo R17 Pro will be available for purchase around Rs 40,000 in India to compete against OnePlus 6T, Huawei and Honor smartphones. Oppo has been famous to offer budget segment smartphones in India and now the company is planning to cover more market share by offering premium segment smartphones in India.

As we already mentioned that the Chinese tech giant had already launched the Oppo R17 Pro in the China market, so the specifications of the device are not secretive. The Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch full-HD having the screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the R17 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. For storage, the smartphone gets 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
For photography, the Oppo R17 Pro comes with a triple lens camera on the rear side. The rear camera set up includes a 12 MP primary sensor featuring an aperture of f/1.5-2.4 variable and OIS which is identical to the Galaxy S9, 20 MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.6 and a third Time of Flight (TOF) 3D sensing camera that essentially takes in-depth information for 3D-effect photos. For selfies and video calling, the RX17 Pro has 25 MP front-facing camera with an aperture lens of f/2.0 and AI features.
The Oppo R17 Pro has been equipped with a 3,700mAh battery along with the company owned Super VOOC fast charging technology.
The Oppo R17 Pro comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. It gets an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, in-display fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. It measures 157.6x74.6x7.9mm and weighs is 183 grams.
