Sony a multinational electronics company has recently unveiled three flagship smartphones with the name tag Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 at CES Event 2018. The company has announced the features of the latest smartphones but not revealed the price and global availability of the smartphones. The three smartphones will go on sale from the next month especially in the US. It is anticipated that Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 will be available at a price $349.99 (approximately Rs. 22,300), $449.99 (approximately Rs. 28,700) and $249.99 (approximately Rs.16,000) respectively.
Sony will launch the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra in next month on 16th February 2018 and Xperia L2 on 9th February 2016. The newly unveiled smartphones have been listed by Best Buy on its official website. The interesting part is that all of three smartphones has also listed an e-commerce platform on the UK website Clove.
According to Clove, especially in UK Xperia XA2 is available for purchase at GBP 199 (approximately), whereas the Xperia XA2 Ultra will be available for purchase from Wednesday at GBP 379 (approximately Rs. 34,200) and finally Xperia L2 will be available for purchase from 22nd February at GBP 299 (approximately Rs. 27,000). Aforementioned prices of three smartphones are including VAT.
The biggest highlight of new Xperia XA series smartphones is selfie- cameras. The new Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra is an upgraded version of previously launched Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra. Both, Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with Sony's 23-megapixel Exmor RS sensors on the rear panel of the smartphone.

It is anticipated that Sony will launch new Xperia XA series smartphone in India also as its predecessors were launched by the company in India in past year. The predecessor of Xperia XA2 is Xperia XA1 was launched in India in April 2017 whereas the predecessor of Xperia XA2 Ultra is Xperia XA1 Ultra was launched in India in July 2017. The company had not launched the Xperia L1 in India till now
The XA2 sport a 5.2-inch full-HD display along with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone has a Corning Gorilla Glass which will help to protect the body of the smartphone. Whereas, Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with a 6-inch full-HD display. Both Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC processor. The Xperia XA2 is embedded with 3GB RAM whereas Xperia XA2 Ultra is embedded with 4GB RAM. Both of the smartphones come with 23-megapixel Exmor RS camera sensor that has a 1/2.3-inch size and has 84-degree, f/2.0 wide-angle lens. The camera is said to feature a 4K video recording and hybrid autofocus, comprises company's proprietary SteadyShot functionality.
Both, XA2 and XA2 Ultra comes with a different front-facing camera setup. It is one of the major differences in both smartphones. The Xperia XA2 sport a single 8-megapixel front- facing camera along with features such as 1/4-inch Exmor R for a mobile image sensor with 120-degree, f/2.4 wide-angle lens. On the other hand, Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with a dual front-facing camera setup which includes 16-megapixel featuring a /2.6-inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) equipped 88-degree, f/2.0 wide-angle lens and also has 8- megapixel sensor featuring a Exmor R for mobile sensor with 120-degree, f/2.4 super wide-angle lens.
Xperia L2 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor coupled with 3GB RAM. The smartphone has a 32GB internal storage capacity which can be further extended up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 and packs 3300mAh non-removable battery.
