The much anticipated Mi Max 3 has been finally launched by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer on 19th July in China. As it was initially spotted on Weibo, the Chinese Certification website one day before the official announcement of gadget.
An official poster of the smartphone has been posted by Lin Bin, CEO of Xiaomi which revealed the confirmed specifications of Mi Max 3.

As expected, Mi Max 3 features a 6.9-inch screen Full HD+ resolution along with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a larger 5,500 mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 shares most of the specifications with Redmi Note 5.
Under the hood, it is powered by same octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz coupled with 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage.
In terms of camera, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 gets a 12 MP primary sensor featuring an aperture of f/1.9, 1.4µm pixel size, dual-pixel phase detection AF, and 5MP secondary camera with an aperture rate of f/2.0 for portrait shots. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper.
Connectivity options on the Mi Max 3 included Dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo skinned with MIUI 9.5 and bundled with numerous Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered features include facial recognition, voice assistant, scene recognition and more.
It soon receives MIUI 10 software update, it depends on how the Chinese tech giant concern about its smartphone security.
It looks like Mi Max 3 phablet specifications are similar to the Redmi Note 5 but the design is similar to Mi 6X bringing the same antenna band design. It measures 176.15 x 87.4 x 7.99 mm and weighs 221 grams. The company is offering Mi Max 3 in Black, Champagne Gold, and Blue color options in the China market.
In China, Mi Max 3 has been priced at CNY1,699 ($252/€220) for 4GB RAM/64GB onboard storage, whereas 6 GB RAM/128 GB onboard storage is retailing at CNY1,999 ($300/€255). Currently, the company has not announced when the smartphone will be available for purchase in the India market.
