Airlines company of Malaysia has given positive signs to start its services in India. Foreign investment promotion board (FIPB) has given the permission for a joint venture between Air Asia and Tata group for this deal. Air Asia is entering as a low cost airlines company in the country. The Main focus of the company will be Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
The name of the company will be remain same as Air Asia and it will be headquartered in Chennai, Tamilnadu. The originator of Air Asia Mr. Tony Fernandes has tweeted that the company has appointed a new CEO for its business in India. His CV is very nice that will impress all. It is interesting that FDI will invest 49% in this joint venture of Air Asia and Tata Sons. The airlines services will start after license related to the services. Arun bhatia is also a partner in this business. Tata sons has 30% partnership in this venture, Arun Bhatia has 21% partnership and remaining will be with Air Asia. The flights of Air Asia are flying in 25 countries and more than 400 flights take offs.
The company had more than 92 air buses and it has given order for 200 air buses for the new portfolio. This joint venture will change the outlook of Indian Airlines industry. Tata is a automobile giant of the country and hopefully its air business will also take new achievements.
