Delhi Auto Expo 2018 to Host Nine Electric Vehicle Startups

The famous motor show event, Auto Expo 2018, which is scheduled to be held in Delhi and Greater Noida in February 2018, is expected to witness at least nine electric vehicle startups in addition to many other major manufacturers of electric vehicles from around the world.

Since India is already rising in terms of promoting the use of electric vehicles, the upcoming Motorshow at the Auto Expo 2018 is not expected to be untouched by this concept. Even there is buzz in the market that the event will be mainly focused on these type of vehicles. Then, it is only natural for more EV manufacturers to participate in the show. Out of the 12 startups that are scheduled to participate in the event, nine companies work in the field of electric vehicles.

The EV startups are likely to showcase their new electric vehicle products during the event.

In addition to the nine EV startups, many major OEMs will also promote or launch their electric vehicles during the show. It is being speculated that the Auto Expo 2018 might witness 24 or even more new electric cars, bikes and bus. This is going to be an amazing occasion for all the EV enthusiasts and also for the country since the government has been seriously encouraging people to use more electric vehicles.

Apart from the below-listed startups, major car manufacturers like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Ashok Leyland will also be showcasing their vehicles in the show.

"Auto Expo is all about showcasing the new product, technologies and take customer feedback. it will be an interesting show for not just OEMs, supply chain but for customers as well," said Arun Malhotra Chairman, Auto Expo (Motor Show) - Committee, SIAM.

Besides the EV craze, the expo will also be focused on new technological advancements in the field of automobility, modified vehicles, futuristic innovations, and increasing the safety and quality of automobile manufacturing in India.

The technology has motivated many welcoming changes to the way traditional auto exhibitions were held, with the current ones being more technically advanced and featuring more advanced vehicles, including autonomous cars, electric vehicles and connected cars.
