Coolpad has announced the new Cool Play 8 in China which will be the successor of the Play 7C. The Cool Play 8 is an entry-level and budget-friendly smartphone which has moderate specifications and also has a good aluminium body and sports a large 6.2-inch display.
The display is IPS and has 1080x2246 pixels of resolution which states that there is a massive notch present for the front-facing camera including some sensors like ambient and proximity.
The processing power is out of date because it has the old MT6750 Octa-core. But the storage is good including 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM (expandable via microSD).

There is dual rear camera- 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth sensing while the front camera is of 8MP. However, the back of the smartphone is faux glass and only has a 3D painted aluminium
The battery is packed with 4,000mAh with the Android 8.1 Oreo along with Coolpad’s own UI.
